Cuban Heels

tenantspin have been working with Liverpool digital film-maker John Scotland on a new Latin music video. Researched, produced and edited by tenants and John, the short film was produced with the support of Alma de Cuba and will be previewed shortly on their plasma screens and here on the tenantspin site.

The film features scorned lover John Miguel’s attempts to woo back former lover Kath Olé with the aid of some nifty footwork.

A Winter’s Tale Revisited

On Tuesday November 15th, Chris Watson presented the sound artworks made with tenants around Sefton Park and Liverpool city centre last December. The two 40-minute compositions were presented here for the first time in tandem and surround-sound, unfolding into a stunning synchronised portrait of human and animal communities in Liverpool. In two introductory talks, Chris reflected on the processes behind the piece and talked at length in Q+A sessions afterwards.
