Films we’ve made
tenantspin has been busy making its own films for years. In recent months we have also developed creative and collaborative partnerships with other filmmakers and we’ve created films for other people and organisations in our state of the art production facility. Here’s just a few of our recent films.
Local filmmaker Kim Ryan, who previously worked with tenantspin on Gente Hermosa (Beautiful People) has been filming in Anfield on and off since last October. Kim was commissioned to produce a film about the regeneration work taking place in the Anfield and Breckfields area. The regeneration works, known as the “Living Through Change” programme will be carried out over the next 11 years and will include the re-development of the Liverpool Football Club stadium, around 6,000 properties and the building of hotels and shopping centres.
In tenantspin’s first broadcast from the new Sefton Park Community Centre, John McGuirk chaired a discussion on the subject of anti-social behaviour. He was joined by Sean Kenton and Lisa Wilson of Arena Housing amongst others. The debate proved lively and so tenantspin made this into a film.
tenantspin has recently created a series of videos in conjunction with Arena Housing’s Customer Service Managers. Arena’s Housing’s Customer Service Managers are residents’ first point of contact. Spread across the northwest, each CSM is responsible for a particular area. tenantspin followed the CSM’s on an average day and gave them an opportunity to update on what’s going on in the area.
