Training

tenantspin currently runs a training programme utilising the latest state of the art technology available to FACT (Foundation for Art & Creative Technology). The training programme runs 48 weeks a year and offers residents creative tools with which to express themselves and to debate current affairs. Web broadcasting, filmmaking and studio management are just some of the skills being continuously explored by the team.

The sessions, typically held on a Tuesday, are led by local media specialists and filmmakers, and together they collaborate with residents to produce new films. In recent years, the group has tackled issues such as depression, taken a stroll though local history and also produced stop frame animation shorts and homages to 1950’s B Movies.

The training programme is free, and subject to availability we are keen for more people to get involved. In 2008, tenantspin hopes to launch an accredited training scheme as well as develop a second training programme for residents in North Liverpool.
